The Home Energy Saver loan is part of a $557 million NSW Government program launched in June 2026 to help households lower their power bills. Rather than a cash rebate, it offers eligible households an interest-free loan to cover energy-saving upgrades such as solar and batteries.
The loan is funded by the NSW Government and delivered through approved finance partners such as Brighte. To use the
Brighte Home Energy Saver loan, your upgrade must be installed by an accredited seller. When you work with Sine Wave Solar, the whole process, from quote to installation to loan, runs through one trusted local team.
Here's what the loan offers:
• Up to $15,000 in finance
• 0% interest (you only ever repay what you borrow)
• No establishment fee, no account-keeping fee, no early repayment fee
• Up to 10 years to repay, with weekly, fortnightly or monthly options
• You pay nothing up front
It's a loan, not a grant, so you do pay it back. The difference is that you repay it in small, predictable instalments as your power bill drops, often enough to cover the repayment on its own.
